ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Asia!

I'm just a regular book nerd with way too many books and not enough time. Okay, not really — you can never have too many books, but the part about not having enough time is true!

Ever since I started reading, I've always loved reading. Books allowed me to escape reality and to experience new dreams. It's really thanks to my parents who always encouraged reading. When I first started reading, I pretty much exclusively read MG novels and books that were significantly below my reading level. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I wasn't meeting my full "reader's potential."
It was in 5th grade that one of my amazing teachers (name drop) Mrs. Moon essentially forced me to read a book more suited to my level. I still remember which book it was: Ella Enchanted. Prior to that, I was pretty much exclusively reading Magic Tree House novels, but it was really that day when I realized that I truly loved to read. So, thank you, Mrs. Moon, for fostering my love of reading! Endless gratitude for you!

When I'm not reading, you can find me studying, procrastinating, or spending way too much time on Goodreads and in my GR group Book Nerds Unite.

ABOUT AWAM
Adventures with Asia Minor really was a spur of the moment decision. I had just created my Netgalley account, and I had read that having a blog could increase the chances of being accepted for ARCs. A day after deciding that I didn't have the time for a blog, I found myself on Wix doing just that: making a blog. A couple hours later, I published my first draft.

The name of the blog is based on one of my dad's nicknames for me: Asia Minor. From there, "Adventures with Asia Minor" kind of came to the surface. Previously, I had thought of other names but was dismayed since they were already names of book blogs. It was soon after that something sparked in my head, and the name presented itself.

While I'd love to say that I will post every review of every book I read to this blog, that's just not realistic. Instead, I'll post reviews of most, if not all, of the books I've received to review. Time permitting, I'll also post shortened reviews for other books here.

Generally, though, if you'd like to chat, you can find me on Goodreads.
